About the International Herald Tribune (IHT)

The International Herald Tribune (www.iht.com) is the premier international newspaper for opinion leaders and decision-makers around the globe. It combines the extensive resources of its own correspondents with those of The New York Times and is printed at 32 sites throughout the world, for sale in more than 180 countries. Based in Paris since 1887, the IHT is part of The New York Times Company. 

From October 1994 until 1996, Mr. Golden was executive Vice President and Publisher at The New York Times Company`s  Tennis magazine. Prior to that, from September 1991 until October 1994, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the company`s Women`s Publishing Division. The New York Times Company sold its Women`s Publishing Division in 1994. Before working at The New York Times, from May 1990 until August 1991, Mr. Golden Publisher of McCall`s magazine and, from January 1988 until April 1990, General Manager of Child magazine. From August 1986 until January 1988, he served as Senior Vice President of The Retail Magazine Marketing Company, which was The New York Times Company`s magazine distribution. Also prior to joining The New York Times, he served as Production Manager of Family Circle. Previously  to this, he worked for eight years in a series of editorial and management posts at The Chattanooga ( Tenn. )Times. Mr. Golden serves on the boards of Graham-Windhan Services to Families and Children, New York , the oldest nonsectarian childcare agency in the country, Lehigh University and the New York State Conservancy.

Mr. Golden earned a B.A. degree with honors in 1971 and, in 1974, an M.A. in Education from Lehigh University . In 1977, he earned an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Missouri and, in 1984, an M.B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta , where he achieved membership to the national honorary business fraternity.
